The Secretary-General of Ijaw Youth Council
Worldwide, Alfred Kemepado has commended the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC)
for its far-reaching recommendations on restructuring.
The IYC scribe made this known on Wednesday in
Abuja during the APC’s public presentation of its report on True federalism.
The Ijaw-born activist called on Nigerians
especially the political class to rise above party sentiments and join hands
with the ruling party to give finishing touches to the report so as to solve
the lingering crisis bedevilling the Niger Delta and Nigeria in general.
“I am not a member of APC; I am here because the
issue of resource control cuts across party lines, Kemepado.
He saluted the courage of the ruling party for
talking the bull by its horns, saying they are the first in the history of
Nigeria to take restructuring serious.
Kemepado called on President Buhari and the National
Assembly leadership to fast-track the process in order to bring about a new
Nigeria.
