Former President Olusegun Obasanjo on Saturday lauded Bayelsa State Governor, Seriake Dickson for massive Bayelsa State Fish Farm located at the out sketch of Igbogene up Epie land.
The fish farm, an initiative of Seriake Dickson administration will also serve as a tourist centre as it will have in it a barbeque stand popularly known as "POINT AND KILL"
The fish farm has a Guest House, good access roads, shuttle buses and other side attractions.
Also adequate security is in place as there are security post screening everyone who going into the farm.
The Land mass for the fish farm is 172 hectares with 500 ponds and each pond measuring 1000m square. The minimum stocking is about 5,000 fish.
The State Government will allocate the ponds to Youths/men and women to operate after properly training.
Already land clearing has commenced for the Southern Ijaw Local Government Area, the farm is located at Igeibiri/Obololi.
