Ibe Kachikwu Should Resign For Admission Of Gross Ineptitude And Insulting Nigerians Over Unending Fuel Scarcity

It is more than four months now that Nigerians are kept in filling stations in endless search for PMS. Yet Ibe Kachkwu, the Petroleum Minister for state serving under President Muhammadu Buhari, the substantive Minister, had the temerity to tell Nigerians that he does not have the magic wand to end the lingering fuel crisis.

To me, this comment is not only an affront on Nigerians but an insult on our sensibilities, more so, an admission of gross incompetence and incapacity on his part in the face of this untold hardship and incalculable losses suffered by Nigerians by this mindless disposition in an economy that is not working and the only way to go is for him Kachikwu to immediately resign or be sacked by the President because Nigerians can no longer tolerate this trial and error approach.

While for the umpteenth time I call on the non state Actors to lend their voice on this matter of urgent national importance, we must be reminded that we are yet grappling with the systemic extortion by the power distribution companies who without improving services, went on to impose increased tariff on the consuming public and now fuel is nowhere to be found almost forever, no power, no fuel, because the likes of Kachikwu and his co-travellers seating in the luxury of their tax payers funded offices without empathy, make such propositions ostensibly putting the well being of 170 million Nigerians on the ballance.

Come to think of it; the man has said to Nigerians, I CAN NOT SOLVE YOUR FUEL PROBLEMS! The question then is why keep him? We all know the standard practice that when there is a problem in any sector, what you do is to assemble experts to identify, study, analyze and proffer a workable solution to the problem. Nigerians know that Kachikwu has failed, even his party has confirmed this, particularly their national leader Bola Tinubu whom I agree with for lashing out at Kachikwu stating that what Nigerians expect is respect and good performance in keeping with the chanted change and not this arrogance by the Minister who is not perturbed by the current situation.
