The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS)
has thanked the Federal Government for the efforts it has made to rescue 21
Chibok girls from the captivity of the Boko Haram.
In a press release issued on Sunday in Abuja, NANS President,
Comrade Chinonso Obasi, also celebrates with the families of the freed girls as
they are peacefully welcome back to their various homes.
“It will be recalled that the abduction of over 200
Nigerian Students from Chibok Community in Borno State way back 2014 has
planted a serious concern in the mind of the entire students of Nigeria, both
home and abroad. Though, it was great news to be informed that some of our
girls have gained freedom from the den of lion. Obasi said.
He called on the Federal Government to make more
efforts for the emancipation of the remaining girls so they can return back to
their families soonest.
He also urged the Federal government to rehabilitate
those girls as to wage war against traumatic experience they might have
harboured while in the jungle and also to enable them continue in their
education.
